The #UNIGNORABLE Tower
Poverty in Toronto can be hard to see, despite the fact that it’s the poverty capital of Canada. In the Greater Toronto Area alone, there are over 116,000 individuals and families struggling to put a roof over their head. The #UNIGNORABLE Tower brings this statistic to life using something everyone can understand — the world’s tallest building with enough space to provide adequate housing for the 160,000 people facing poverty. Using augmented reality, we built an app that allows people to see the tower in the city skyline from anywhere within the Greater Toronto Area. Geolocated beside the iconic CN Tower, the Unignorable Tower completely dwarfs the world’s 9th tallest structure.

Lead UX & Visual Designer2015 MTV VMA
MTV VMA has a long history of creating unexpected moments that live in internet culture forever — who doesn’t remember Kanye barging in on Taylor’s VMA acceptance speech? To build anticipation for the 2015 VMA, MTV teamed up with Miley Cyrus — VMA’s 2015 host — to build an UGC campaign that celebrates the internet’s artistic meme culture. To bring traction to the campaign’s microsite, MTV went all-in with the media buy, placing ads in high-traffic and famous locations in NYC and LA.
Designed and developed in 5 weeks, the microsite served as a repository of Miley’s greenscreen assets. Users could opt-in, create and share their art using the VMA hashtag. That simple.
The result? The 2015 VMA was the most tweeted program in TV history when it aired.

Lead UX & Visual Designer2019 Hush Hush
Hush Hush is a yearly fundraiser for the Toronto Public Library. For the 2019 edition, Array of Stars was invited to be the event's artistic director. The theme chosen for the evening was "possibilities revealed".For our installation, we created an interactive portal that immerses viewers by placing them into a dystopian alternative reality — all in real time. We used three large towering LED screens and depth cameras to detect when a new viewer approached the screen, using the depth data we extracted the viewer from their current environment and placed them into a dynamic kaleidoscopic tunnel that reflected architectural pieces of the iconic library and famous authors’ quotes — quite literally embodying “Possibilities Revealed”.
